Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Addiction Treatment

The pathway to real recovery runs through your brain.

Cognitive behavior therapy helps individuals map out their thought and behavior patterns.  This is a crucial part of our men’s recovery program—almost like calibrating your compass.

At Next Step Recovery, we support men with clinically proven methods and compassionate care.  We help guide the way from detox or inpatient care to a rewarding life of sobriety.  We use a potent combination of structure, community, and clinical therapies like CBT to help achieve this goal.

As we say: “Recovery is the Real Adventure.”

Cognitive Behavior Therapy helps us take some of the mystery out of that adventure.

A Clinically Proven Method to Recognize and Change Thought Patterns Over Time

CBT is one of the most trusted clinical therapies around today.

It is used for a variety of conditions such as anxiety, depression, phobias, and addiction.

This evidence-based approach uses logic to identify negative thought patterns.  Then, it works to remove or change these habits.  Once understood, this empowers those struggling with addication to change their lives.  Cognitive Behavior Therapy helps identify how thoughts impact feelings and behaviors.

This makes CBT an valuable tool in the treatment of addiction and co-occurring disorders.

In addition to clinical support, our community at Next Step Recovery is here to provide the compassion that leads to true change.  Together we can learn to think better thoughts and become better versions of ourselves.

How Our Program Works: The Help Men Need to Get Back on Their Feet & Create Healthy Lives

Next Step Recovery focuses on life after medical detox, after inpatient residential treatment, or when outpatient programs are not enough.

Our program features two major pillars:

NSR of Asheville Sober Living

True recovery takes time.  Our long-term addiction treatment programs facilitate true healing through structure and community.  We help you replace unhealthy thoughts and behaviors with new ones.  Day by day, you develop habits that lead to a better, happier life.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Our Intensive Outpatient Program helps men striving for long-term recovery continue substance abuse therapy outside of an, “inpatient,” environment.  It is an ideal way to continue treatment while still living a normal lifestyle.  Next Step Recovery offers both NSR of Asheville integrated access to IOP for their residents and for The Greater Asheville Community.

The main goal of our program is to help men transcend their addictions and create fulfilling lives.

Compassionate, Clinical Care

Next Step Recovery is big on evidence and empathy.

We implement addiction therapies with evidence behind them.  We facilitate change with profound empathy for our clients and residents.
