How Extended Care Helps

Addiction recovery is a lifelong journey.

Extended care supports you along that journey,

At Next Step Recovery, we integrate clinical addiction therapy with a residential model that allows us to provide superior long-term care.  Ultimately, your story is in your hands.  But we’re here to help you write the best one you can.  Everyday, we’ll be here to take the next step along the path of sobriety with you.

As we say:

“Recovery is the Real Adventure.”

Extended care gives that adventure the time it requires.

Developing support systems is essential for recovery. For those participating in SACOT, it is strongly recommended that clients return home to a supportive, healthy, and drug-free environment. Having people that love and support you during treatment can be the difference between a successful and difficult recovery journey.

What is Extended Care?

Addiction runs deeper than substance abuse alone.  You’ll find long-term care is the best way to unearth issues keeping you in the cycle of coping.

Extended care gives you the extra time you’ll need to sustain recovery.  Standard 30-day care programs can only touch the surface of your challenges. Our extended program is designed with patience and deep healing in mind.  You’ll grow at a healthy pace that keeps you sober for good.

How Does Extended Care Work?

Living with addiction requires you to learn new habits.  By taking time to embrace the ups and downs, you allow yourself to truly learn from your struggles.

Our extended care facility blends proven treatments with an adaptive care model. Over the next few months, we become your new home as you begin your road to recovery. Every man in our care is given a custom treatment plan. As your progress ebbs and flows, your treatments change with you.

Where Extended Care Fits?

As residential extended care, Next Step serves men committed to lifelong change.  You’ll need to do a few things before you enter this level of care.

Our extended care is outpatient—after your detox and any hospital care. Once you’ve gotten clean of all addictive substances, we’ll be waiting. We integrate sober living into our intensive outpatient program under one roof. You’ll live with your new support system as you build towards sobriety.

Is Extended Care Right for You?

Extended care for addiction is ideal but not perfect for everyone.  Without proper planning, you might find this program doesn’t fit your situation.

Regardless, your recovery will take time.  By embracing a longer program, you’ll absorb more rehab experiences.  Despite the need to plan for time away from home, our men find the extra practice and support invaluable for staying sober.  We will work with you to make your recovery last a full lifetime.

Why Choose Next Step Extended Care?

Your choice of extended care recovery program is no small task.  The team, facilities, and peers that support you will set the tone for your entire journey.

Next Step has worked for over a decade to build a superior rehab experience.  As one of the best addiction care programs in Asheville, we offer many services rarely found together in a single program.  With our support, join hundreds of men that have reclaimed themselves from addiction.

Sober Living & IOP Designed Around You

We’ve built a program out of clinically proven methods. We know that what we do works. It’s worked for 100s of men to date. But that doesn’t mean we take a cookie-cutter approach. On the contrary, we’re big on individual case management.

Responding to the needs of our residents is a major part of what we do. It’s one of the biggest keys to our success. We match you with the right therapies, at the right times. At Next Step Recovery, our residents receive customized care that evolves as they do.
