Navigating Real Life Challenges
Sober living encourages residents to live a life free of substances while navigating the challenges of normal daily life. Triggers abound during day-to-day responsibilities, and our program provides a safe space to unpack these triggers and learn ways to positively and effectively manage them.
Practicing Independence with Certain Rules in Place
For some individuals who are newly sober, returning to their own homes after formal treatment can create temptation and cause relapse. A sober living community allows for independence, but with comprehensive rules and regulations. This is so individuals can start fresh with new freedoms in a supportive and structured environment.
The Benefit of Sober Living Environments in Charlotte NC
Intensive outpatient care (also known as IOP) involves a patient receiving treatment 3 to 5 days a week while residing at home throughout their care. Our intensive drug and alcohol drug rehab outpatient program is 12 weeks long and is ideal for those at the beginning stages of addiction.
Our three-pronged approach involves individual counseling, group therapy, and 12-step education. These three aspects of our treatment program work hand-in-hand to guide our patients through their recovery journey and provide them with the level of care they need through the difficult time that is early sobriety.
For questions about our IOP program, insurance, eligibility, and more, reach out to Next Step Recovery in Asheville today. We’d be happy to discuss our IOP program with you in further detail and answer any questions.
Develop Life Skills
Our recovery residences provide a warm and welcoming space to perfect skills learned during formal treatment. These life skills may include:
- Managing triggers
- Looking for signs of relapse
- Developing coping skills
- And more
Accountability Through a Sober Living Community
We encourage interaction with other individuals after addiction treatment who are learning how to navigate a world substance-free. Since sober living will require residents to abide by certain rules and boundaries, those within the home connect on a deeper level that prioritizes accountability, trust, compassion, and stewardship.
Safe, Temporary Supportive Housing for Men
A supportive living environment is key for recovery! If you or your loved one’s previous living space was permeated by drug addiction or alcohol addiction, a sober living house is a great way to remove an individual from triggering situations and encourage positive habits and relationships.
