Outpatient rehab programs with Next Step Recovery help men begin their addiction recovery journey from the comfort of home. Our Intensive Outpatient Program provides both flexibility and convenience and caters to the specific needs of each individual client we help. In this article, you’ll learn how a men’s rehab program can help with addiction recovery from drug and alcohol abuse and the types of programs and therapies available for treating addiction.
Why Choose a Men’s Rehab Program
A men’s rehab program provides addiction treatment services while also addressing the unique challenges that men face. Specifically, rehab treatment programs and therapies for men provide an environment for other men to feel safe to share their experiences without judgment or pressure to live up to social expectations.
After all, men and women are often conditioned differently throughout life and therefore might have very different experiences and reasons for their substance abuse. Addiction affects men differently sometimes. Through rehab programs that provide gender specific treatment exclusively for men, therapies can cater to the specific life experiences men tend to associate with their addiction and in life.
A men’s rehab program can provide the essential combination of treatment modalities including clinical therapies, community activities, and structure to help individuals live a healthy life. This can include addressing drug addiction (including a severe addiction, illicit drug use, and prescription drugs), and alcohol use disorder. A men’s rehab program can also provide mental health treatment as part of the addiction treatment program.
What is the Difference Between Inpatient Residential Treatment and an Outpatient Program?
Both inpatient rehab and outpatient treatment programs provide addiction treatment to individuals who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and seeking treatment, but there are some key differences. Inpatient services require individuals to sleep at the facility.
Outpatient treatment programs do not require anyone to sleep at the rehab facility. This means individuals attend therapies on the scheduled day and time and then go home afterward.
Men’s Rehab Center: Benefits of Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab
A drug and alcohol rehab program can provide numerous benefits, including:
- Giving clients the ability to receive treatment while still navigating daily responsibilities
- Providing flexibility for those who need to be at home in the evenings
- Enabling clients to save money, as the costs of outpatient are often less than inpatient services
- Focusing on relapse prevention
- Teaching important life skills for how to stay healthy and identify and manage triggers
- Providing continued support for those looking to maintain sobriety
- Addressing mental health symptoms/co-occurring disorders
Types of Men’s Rehab Programs
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
An Intensive Outpatient Program, also known as IOP, is typically for those who have completed an inpatient treatment program, are new to recovery but do not need to live at the facility for treatment, or have had complicated addiction histories.
At Next Step Recovery, our IOP is a 12-week program that meets three days each week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am to 1 pm. During each IOP, clients participate in intensive group therapy, individual counseling, and a 12-step immersion education to support long-term recovery.
Sober Living
After completing our 12-week IOP, clients continue to receive the support they need through our Sober Living program. This transitional support includes case management services, 12-step support, relapse prevention education, mindfulness meditation, and adventure therapy.
Sober living houses at Next Step Recovery provide more than a safe, sober place to live. Our houses equip men with the skills they need to achieve long-term addiction recovery. While sober living is not a requirement for our clients, this environment is ideal for anyone who has recently completed residential treatment and would like to ease into the long-term sober lifestyle.
Dual Diagnosis
Dual Diagnosis provides treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorders, and many other mental health disorders. The goal of treatment by our mental health services administration is to provide clients with the support, tools, and treatment needed to overcome challenges associated with both their addiction and any co-occurring mental health conditions/mental illness.
Medication Assisted Treatment
Medication Assisted Treatment is primarily used during the drug detox process, which is often the first step in addiction treatment. Prescribed medication by our team of medical experts can help make the withdrawal symptoms less severe and the withdrawal process more comfortable so that you can feel safe and move forward with your long-term recovery.
Which Therapies Are Provided in Rehab Programs?
There are many therapies provided in a men’s rehab program, each with the goal of helping men meet their long-term recovery goals. Therapies can include adventure therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, yoga, meditation, and martial arts.
Am I Eligible For Rehab?
To determine if you’re eligible for drug and alcohol rehab, our team will conduct a comprehensive clinical assessment. If eligible, they will help identify which level of support and program is needed to best fit your recovery goals from substance use disorder.
Is Drug Rehab and Alcohol Rehab Covered By Insurance?
Your rehab program might be covered by your insurance provider. Please contact us to verify your insurance and coverage.
