Intensive Outpatient Program Charlotte
Our Intensive Outpatient Program services in Charlotte help those struggling with addiction receive the support and therapeutic services they need for sustainable recovery.Â
How Our Intensive Outpatient Program Works
At Next Step Recovery – we want to provide you with the tools you need for a lifetime of recovery. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides the perfect transition for those who have just left inpatient treatment, have complicated addiction histories with multiple relapses, or are new to recovery.Â
Our 12-week program is designed to provide professional support during the early weeks of recovery when the risk of relapse is highest. We use a three-pronged approach to prevent relapse and help patients maintain sobriety:
- Intensive group therapy
- Individual counseling
- 12-step immersion educationÂ
Our IOP program is open to those struggling with addiction and their loved ones in the Charlotte area. Sober Living is not a requirement to attend our IOP program, but we do encourage all of our residents to be in communication with our team at Next Step Recovery so we understand how we can best support you on your journey.Â

We want to ensure that our patients are supported when they need it most – which often means continued support after the completion of a program. After our 15-week intensive program, residents continue to receive recovery support through our transitional living program including case management, 12-step support, relapse prevention education, mindfulness meditation, and adventure therapy.Â
As part of admission to our program, all clients are provided with an individualized comprehensive clinical assessment. These assessments help our team of professionals to identify the level and type of support that will best support their long-term recovery goals. For some residents, a sober living community and continued support from therapists or psychiatrists may be recommended as your recovery progresses.
Program Eligibility and Insurance
To ensure the quality and safety of our programming, Next Step Recovery’s IOP is only available to residents of our transitional living program who have met program eligibility criteria.
Our IOP may be covered by most major health insurance plans. We also accept cash, check, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare at this time. It is important to note that transitional living program fees are not covered by IOP fees and are assessed separately.
If you have additional questions about our IOP services in Charlotte or wish to learn more about how this program can benefit you or a loved one, reach out to us at any time. We are here to support you on the next step of your recovery journey.
