Next Step Recovery provides residents with access to a variety of clinical recovery support services, support groups, job and educational resources that make our program a great next step for successful young adult sober living and long-term recovery for men of any age.

Our transitional living recovery program is designed to immerse men in a 12-step way of life. Residents are required to attend at least four AA or NA meetings per week and obtain a sponsor. Western North Carolina has a strong recovery community, and AA and NA meetings are held every night of the week at a variety of locations.

Educational Resources The greater Asheville area offers a variety of excellent educational opportunities including four-year universities, private colleges, arts and technical schools, and specialty certification programs.
Smart Recovery - SMART Recovery (Self Management And Recovery Training) helps individuals gain independence from addiction (substances or activities). Our efforts are based on scientific knowledge and evolve as scientific knowledge evolves. The 4-Point Program offers specific tools and techniques for each of the program points: Point 1: Building and Maintaining Motivation; Point 2: Coping with Urges Point; 3: Managing Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviors; Point 4: Living a Balanced Life
