Our life skills classes set us apart from many relapse prevention programs and transitional living homes. These classes prepare our residents for successful reintegration in the community by helping them strengthen important skills such as budgeting and money management, job-seeking, communication, time management, nutrition and healthy meal preparation.
Residents are required to work, volunteer or attend school full time at least 30 hours each week. They are also required to attend support meetings throughout the week and are responsible for house chores and meal preparation.
Learning to balance these multiple responsibilities is excellent preparation for transitioning back into daily life without drugs and alcohol.
